What engine is available for the Compass?
No matter what trim of the Compass you choose, you will get a 2.4-liter four-cylinder engine that pumps out a respectable 180 horsepower and 175 lb-ft of torque. The engine connects to either a six-speed automatic with a front-wheel drive or a nine-speed automatic with an all-wheel drive. All trims come with the option of front-wheel-drive or all-wheel-drive, except for the Trailhawk where all-wheel-drive comes standard. With the all-wheel-drive, the Compass can tow up to 2,000 pounds, so be sure to hook a trailer when you go off-roading!
What are some of the features?
Four trim levels are available for the 2021 Compass, and each comes with a wide range of technologically advanced features. Starting things off is the Sport, which comes with steel wheels, automatic dual-zone climate control, a six-speaker sound system, and a 7-inch touchscreen with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto. Moving up to the Latitude brings alloy wheels, roof rails, foglights with automatic headlights, a leather-wrapped steering wheels, and keyless entry and ignition. What safety features are on the Compass?

Available is a Blind-Spot Monitoring System that alerts you if the vehicle in the next lane is in your blind spot so that you can make safer lane changes. Also available is a Rear-Cross Traffic Alert System warns you if another vehicle is crossing your path while you put the Compass in reverse. The Adaptive Cruise Control System maintains a set distance between you and the traffic in front. A Forward Collision Warning System with Active Braking will warn you of an impending accident and can even apply the breaks in certain situations. Finally, the Lane Keep Assist System can steer the Compass back into its lane if it happens to drift.
