What engine is placed within the 2020 Compass?

To fuel the Compass's capabilities, Jeep brings in a 2.4-liter Tigershark Inline-4 engine that utilizes MultiAir2 technology to produce up to 180 horsepower and 175 pound-feet of torque. The power train can come configured in an all-wheel-drive system (4x4), which enhances off-road capability and overall control, or a front-wheel-drive configuration (4x2) that offers enhanced fuel economy. With the 2020 Compass with a 4x4 system earns a best-in-class highway fuel-economy rating of 31 mpg while the 4x2 system has an even further enhanced highway economy with 32 mpg. With the Sport and Lattitude 4x4 the Compass comes standard with a six-speed manual transmission. The Latitude 4x2 and Limited 4x2 look to bring in a six-speed automatic transmission that is enhanced with engine stop-start technology. Optional with the Compass Sport and Latitude and standard on Trailhawk and Limited 4x4 models is a nine-speed automatic transmission.

What trim levels are offered?

With the 2020 Compass, we see four different trim models that are established with various amounts and specialized kits of features. Coming standard with the base Compass Sport are features such as keyless entry and ignition, split-folding rear seating for additional cargo room, cruise control system, bright quad-halogen headlamps with daytime running lights, powered windows with one-touch raise/lower, and dual-zone automatic climate control system.
