2021 Jeep Cherokee Power & Handling

There are three engines powering the Cherokee. The standard engine is a 180 horsepower 2.4-liter inline-4 that generates 171 pound-feet of torque. The next option is the available 271 horsepower 3.2-liter V6 that creates 239 pound-feet of torque. Jeep's third and final engine option for the Cherokee is a 270 horsepower 2.0-liter turbocharged inline-4 that produces 295 pound-feet of torque. All engines are equipped with standard front-wheel drive while four-wheel drive is available, standard with the Trailhawk trim level. Jeep also pairs all three engines with a 9-speed automatic transmission.

2021 Nissan Rogue Power & Handling

In the 2021 model year, the Nissan Rogue's entire trim lineup is powered by one engine. This 2.5-liter inline-4 engine creates 181 horsepower and 181 pound-feet of torque. It is paired with a continuously variable automatic transmission and standard front-wheel drive. All-wheel drive is offered to all Rogue trim levels.

2021 Jeep Cherokee Features & Design

Drivers have five Cherokee trim levels to pick from in the 2021 model year. The base trim is called the Latitude and it is outfitted with standard features like folding rear seats, roof rails, rain-sensing windshield wipers, Android and Apple smartphone integration, a 6-speaker sound system, a 7-inch touchscreen with the Uconnect infotainment system, and the Selec-Terrain management system. The Latitude also comes with a bunch of standard safety features like forward collision mitigation, blind-spot monitoring, lane keeping assist, and rear cross-traffic alert. The upper trims build on the Latitude with features like a power-adjustable driver's seat, keyless entry and ignition, leather upholstery, heated front seats, fog lights, rear USB ports, rear automatic braking, dual-zone automatic climate control, driver-seat memory settings, a power liftgate, adaptive cruise control, and more. The Trailhawk trim level is outfitted for off-roading with features like tow hooks, skid plates, all-terrain tires, a locking rear axle, and Jeep Active Drive Lock with rock mode.

2021 Nissan Rogue Features & Design

The Nissan Rogue is available in four trim levels for the 2021 model year. The base S model comes with Android and Apple smartphone integration, LED headlights, satellite radio, two USB ports, rear air vents, and an 8-inch touchscreen. This trim also comes with the Nissan Safety Shield suite of safety features. The upper trims add a power-adjustable driver's seat, a 6-speaker sound system, a Wi-Fi hotspot, keyless entry and ignition, roof rails, a power liftgate, leather upholstery, driver-seat memory functions, a head-up display, and a digital instrument panel.

Conclusion:

The Nissan Rogue has a lot to offer when it comes to features but the lack of engine options and engine power overall leaves us wanting. The 2021 Jeep Cherokee also packs a ton of features into its trim levels and pumps out some serious power with three engine options.
