Mornings are always busy in our house and sometimes getting everyone ready and at the breakfast table for a well-balanced meal doesn't always happen. So for those super crazy mornings where everyone in your family is running out the door, here are three recipes for delicious and filling breakfasts. With these on the go breakfast ideas, you'll know everyone has eaten a delicious breakfast, even if they have to take their meal in the car.

No-Bake Peanut Butter Energy Balls

Ingredients

1 1/2 cups old fashioned rolled oats

1/2 cup peanut butter

1/3 cup pure maple syrup

1/3 cup semi-sweet chocolate chips

Instructions

Add all of the ingredients to a large bowl. Mix together until well incorporated. Cover and chill in a refrigerator for at least 30 minutes.

Grab about a heaping tablespoon full of the mixture and press it into a ball with your palms. Repeat with the remaining oat mixture, making about 16 energy bites.

Store in a sealed container in the refrigerator.

Sausage & Cheese Bread

Ingredients

1 lb . pork sausage

1/4 cup chopped onion

1/4 cup Parmesan cheese

1/2 cup grated cheddar cheese

1 egg

1/2 teaspoon Texas Pete hot sauce

1 1/2 teaspoon salt

Dash of red pepper flakes

2 cups baking mix - Bisquick

2/3 cup milk

1/4 cup mayonnaise

Instructions

Preheat oven to 350 degrees.

Coat a 9x5 inch loaf pan with cooking spray.

Crumble sausage into a large skillet and cook along with onion until brown.

Drain on paper towels and cool.

In a large bowl, combine egg, cheeses, hot sauce, salt and pepper. Mix well.

Add baking mix, milk, and mayonnaise. Stir.

To the mixture, add sausage & onions. Mix until just blended.

Pour into loaf pan and bake for 45 to 50 minutes.

Let rest in pan for 10 minutes. Turn out to plate to serve.

Breakfast Calzone

Ingredients

12  Dinner Rolls

12 eggs, plus ingredients to scramble them

1 ½ c. diced ham

1 ½ c. shredded cheddar cheese

1 egg white

Dried parsley, sea salt, parmesan cheese, sesame seeds, optional garnish

Instructions

Let rolls rise according to package instructions.

Preheat oven to 350 degrees if you plan to bake calzones immediately.

Flatten rolls into flat disks.

Scramble eggs and spoon a little bit onto one half of each flattened roll.

Spoon diced ham over eggs.

Sprinkle cheese over ham.

Fold other half of calzone over fillings.

Using your fingers pinch the calzone closed.

Place on baking sheet either greased with nonstick spray or lined with parchment paper. Brush tops of calzones with beaten egg white. Sprinkle with parsley flakes, sea salt, parmesan cheese, or sesame seeds.

Bake calzones for 15 minutes.

Serve immediately. Or you can cool calzones and refrigerate or freeze for later. If serving from refrigerator or freezer, microwave them for until warmed through. Time will vary according to your microwave.
