Summer has arrived, and with all the kids home from school, it can be tough to keep a clean home. Not only that, your family vehicle may need a good cleaning. With all the summer activities and road trips that families do, it's easy to see your family car go from decently clean to a total mess! 

When you look at your vehicle, you may be thinking, "where do I start?" When you have kids, it may become a challenge to keep the car clean from dirt, debris, garbage, food scraps, etc. Busy lives can also take over, but it's time to take control of your vehicle and clean it out.

Here are some easy car cleaning tips for you and your family to get your vehicle back in tip-top shape!

1) First things first, clean out all the big items that can't be vacuumed such as garbage, food, etc. Having a trash bag handy will make this easy and quick!

2) After all the clutter has been cleaned out from your vehicle, time to vacuum. Vacuum thoroughly the seats (including crevices). Be sure to vacuum the cup holders as well. This will be in preparation of a good cleaning and scrubbing.

3) Clean and dust the dashboard, etc. This gets dirt and dust build up over time. Clean the vents as well for clearer breathing.

4) Wash the interior windows with Windex or whatever glass cleaning agent you prefer. You will be able to see how clean after you get a full car wash for the cars exterior.

5) Want to freshen up the scent of your vehicle? Try making or purchasing a hanging or hidden air freshener.
